I’m starting a new portrait project that means a lot to me, and I’d love to invite you to be part of it.
I’m looking for people who feel open to sharing a bit of themselves. The portraits will be simple and honest, with no fancy setups or forced posing. The goal is to capture something real and personal and to share a glimpse of who you are.
About the Project
I plan to turn this into an exhibit in the future, but right now the focus is on spending time with people and creating something meaningful together. You’ll fill out a short questionnaire below that will help me write a short story to go with your portrait. You’ll always get to read and approve it before anything is shared.
The portraits will be taken at the HCAA’s Birdie Gallery. I’ll be using direct positive paper and developing each image in the darkroom on-site. You’ll get to watch the photograph appear right in front of you. It’s a one-of-a-kind process and a special experience.
There’s no cost or obligation. This is something I’m doing simply because I believe in it.
What to Expect
 - A relaxed, no-pressure portrait session at the Birdie Gallery
 - A chance to watch your one-of-a-kind portrait appear in the darkroom right in front of you
 - No fancy setups or forced posing, just an honest and simple approach
 - A short questionnaire to help share a bit of your story
 - A digital scan of your portrait to keep
 - The option to purchase your original print after the exhibit, but no obligation
A Few Notes

 - This project may grow into an exhibit, but not every portrait will necessarily be included.
 - You will always get to read and approve the story text before anything is shared.
 - You can choose not to have your portrait or story included at all if you decide later that you’re not comfortable.
 - Most importantly, this is meant to be a fun, no-pressure experience about creating something meaningful and enjoying the process.
